Call for Cooks and Wild Game
The Mobridge Chamber Tourism Committee is looking for wild game and cooks to help with the Surf N Turf Wild Game Feed and Fish Fry on Friday, 04il 17 at the Oahe Hills Country Club. Each year, residents and visitors to Mobridge get a chance to taste over 15 wild game dishes and enjoy a walleye fish fry at this popular spring event.
Each wild game cooking contestant's dish is judged by a panel of community leaders. This year, first place will receive $500, second place $300, and third place $200. To sign up for the contest, you must call the Chamber Office at 605-845-2500 no later than Monday, 04il 13. All cooks who sign up after that date are welcome to bring food, but will not be eligible to win.
Dishes must be buffet self-serve style and prepared off-site. Cooks will not be able to prepare or serve their food at the event itself.
We do have some cooks in search of wild game to use in their dishes. If you have pheasant, venison, elk, goose, or any other wild game in the freezer that you would be willing to donation, please call Haden or Kayla at 605-845-2500 or email them here.
