NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the City of Mobridge, South Dakota (the “Issuer”) on October 9, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable, at City Hall, 114 1st Avenue East, Mobridge, SD 57601, of the Issuer in connection with a proposed plan of modifying the terms of the financing relating to the Economic Development Revenue Bonds, Series 2021 (The Mobridge Regional Hospital) (the “Bonds”) pursuant to a renegotiated plan of finance in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $38,000,000 to finance the Project described below. The Bonds are qualified 501(c)(3) Bonds pursuant to Section 145 of the Code.
Project Owner and Occupant: Mobridge Regional Hospital, a South Dakota nonprofit corporation and a tax-exempt organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”).
Project Description: The Project includes Renovation and Expansion of existing hospital facilities and the payment of the costs of issuing the Bonds. All of the facilities financed and refinanced with proceeds of the Bonds are located at the Mobridge Regional Hospital campus described below.
Location of Project: The Project is located at 1401 10th Avenue, Mobridge, SD 57601-1106, at or near the hospital campus on 10th Avenue West between 13th Street West and 15th Street West.
The Bonds are limited obligations that are repayable from revenues of Mobridge Regional Hospital. The Bonds will not constitute a debt or obligation of the City of Mobridge, or the State of South Dakota (the “State”). Neither the credit nor the taxing power of the State or of any political subdivision thereof (including, but not limited to the City of Mobridge) will be pledged or obligated for payment of the Bonds.
At the public hearing, any and all persons in attendance will be afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed project and/or the issuance by the Issuer of the Bonds.
This notice is published, and the public hearing is being held by and on behalf of the Issuer as the issuer of the Bonds as required by Section 147(f) of the Code, and regulations promulgated thereunder.
