Tourism

We have a remarkable range of tourism events and interests from our Cabela's fishing tournaments to the historic Oscar Howe murals in the Scherr Howe Event Center downtown, to a memorial for Chief Sitting Bull on Lake Oahe. Tourism numbers have been growing year over year and if tourists are your customers, you'll want to consider Mobridge as a location for your business.

New Main Street

We are one of the few communities that has significantly invested in Main Street retail. Not only do we continue to update the storefronts into a consistent and pleasing theme for downtown shoppers, Main Street has been extended to an undeveloped 30-acre parcel along the Missouri River and walking path. Used historically as a railroad depot area, planning is underway by the Riverfront Development Committee for additional shopping and housing options. Possibilities include restaurants, hotels, recreational and personal services that will compliment the area and draw traffic from nearby Indian Creek state park.
