Michaela Mclean Wilkes and the Brave and Beautiful team will be doing a, Evening of Inspiration with Miss. Florida 2019" This is a free event, open to the public with a message of hope and inspiration for all ages on Friday evening, Nov 4, at 6:30 PM CT at The Edge Center, 1708 West Grand Crossing, Mobridge, SD 57601.

 

In addition, one of her passions is helping kids deal with bullying, the pressures of social media, and developing positive, proactive goals. She and the "Brave and Beautiful" team is thrilled for the opportunity to speak with and encourage the students in Mobridge at 1:30 PM for 6-12th grade and then 2:20 PM for K-5th grade. Her and her team's talk is called "Breaking Free from Behind the Screen" in the afternoon at the Mobridge schools.

 

On Saturday she and a team will go to Isabel and lead a womens-only retreat at The Sanctuary in Isabel in partnership with Karen Garreau with the Calvary Chapel Church in Dupree.

 

 

Michaela Mclean Wilkes is a spokesmodel, host, young women’s advocate, and former Miss Florida 2019-2020. She earned a double major in Public Relations and Dance with a specialization in Sport and Entertainment Communication Management from the University of Alabama.

Michaela won the title of Miss Florida 2019 and placed in the Top 15 at Miss America 2020. She is the longest-serving Miss Florida in history after her year was extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a statewide spokesmodel for The Everglades Foundation and Advanced Recovery System, she visited over 100 schools and reached over 25,000 people. She shared her original message of “Brave & Beautiful,” which empowers women to understand their worth and identity. She hosts the “Be Brave and Beautiful Podcast,” which unlocks transformational secrets empowering young women to live on purpose, love without fear and lead from a heart to serve.

 

Michaela encourages young women to develop healthy habits from the inside out while understanding the significance of a purpose-driven life.
