God has placed the responsibility for Christian training on parents and on the Church. The value of early training is indicated in the words of Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6. A Christian home gives the child his first Christian instruction and training.

The Church shares the responsibility of providing through Christian education and training for children. The Church strengthens and supports the home in its efforts.
