DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Collaborate with servers & bartenders to ensure that tables are cleared, cleaned and waiting for the next party
· Assisting servers with setting tables and rearranging the service areas to accommodate larger groups and to prepare the facility for special events
· Keep an eye on tables and alert servers if guests need beverage refills or other assistance
· Cleaning dishes to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses
· Prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, rinsing dishes, loading the dishwasher, placing dishes to dry, and stowing dishes for use
· Occasionally assisting cooks with prep work when needed
· Taking garbage and trash to dumpster area
· Washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors
· Maintaining and projecting a positive and pleasant attitude with and in front of customers at all times to ensure a memorable experience
· Any other duties as assigned by the Social Quarters Manager, Lodge Administrator, Supervisor, or Board of Officers
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Be at least 16 years of age
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Highly developed interpersonal skills
· High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
· Ability to work well under intense time pressure
· Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry trays, plates and smallwares
· Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
· Polite and hospitable attitude
SALARY EXPECTATIONS
· South Dakota Minimum Wage or higher depending on experience
