The primary function of the Mobridge-Pollock Public School System is to promote the well-rounded and continuous growth of its youth into effective citizens in a democratic society.  To attain this goal the school shall endeavor to provide a suitable environment for helpful guidance, training, and experiences which will assist each student to become better adjusted in his/her family, social, and business relationships, and concerned for his/her own welfare and the welfare of others, open-minded on controversial issues, trained in work habits, skills, and logical reasoning, and prepared for profitable and gratifying use of leisure time.  Furthermore, the school shall endeavor to provide for the physical and moral well-being of each student.  Finally, the school shall cooperate with the home, church, and other community forces to build the educative experience of its youth.

About the Grand River Casino

Grand River Casino and Resort opened in March 1994, and has worked hard to maintain a high level of gaming quality and service. The Casino is owned by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Dining

The River's Edge restaurant offers guests a variety of entrees as well as an all-you-can-eat buffet. Relax in our spacious and comfortable dining area while you enjoy your meal and then top it off with a delicious dessert. They are open for breakfast and keep serving until late at night. Good fuel for good fun!  You also have the option of stopping by The Sand Bar. At the River's Edge you have your choice of appetizers and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.  Hours of operation are:  8 AM - 8 PM.  

Lodging

You can be assured you will always have a clean and comfortable room waiting for you at Grand River Casino and Resort. Their 40-room lodge includes two whirlpool suites. Each room is equipped with two queen beds or one king, satellite TV, coffee maker, hair dryer and an ironing board and iron. Many of the rooms have a view overlooking beautiful Lake Oahe. They also offer adjoining and handicap-accessible rooms. 

Outdoors

The Bay at Grand River is just down the hill from the Casino and includes six cabins, a convenience store, campground, two boat ramps with access to Lake Oahe and a fish cleaning station. Each cabin is fully furnished with satellite tv and much more! The convenience store offers gas, licenses, bait, tackle and all the supplies you need to hunt, fish and camp. The campground, adjacent to The Bay, is open during the summer and includes more than 70 campsites with electrical hookups, showers, RV dump station and a playground.

Gaming

Grand River Casino has 250 reel and video slots to choose from including video poker and video keno. You can play 1¢ denominations up to $5 and multi-denominations.  

They also offer Blackjack and Poker. Blackjack is one of the most popular table games and opens every day at 3pm CST. They offer tables with limits from $5 to $50.  Poker also has its fans and we have a seat saved for you! Please call the Casino for live game and tournament information.
