Mobridge Area Pheasant Population Outlook

According to the South Dakota Game, Fish, & Parks' statistics, in 2020, hunters harvested over 30,000 Ringnecked Pheasants in the Mobridge area (Walworth and Campbell counties). After this healthy 2020, the current pheasant population outlook speculates for another strong year in 2021, despite the recent drought.

These 2021 speculations come from a mixture of elements which included favorable 2020-2021 winter months, a healthy spring pheasant habitat, and successfull control of nest predator populations.
